  • Understand and master the basic skills for chainsaw maintenance.
  • Use a chainsaw safely.
  • Buck wood, cut notches, and carry out other basic chainsaw applications.
Overview

The program is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of chainsaw use, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, maintenance, site safety, bucking, and notches. You will receive a record of completion of the course. The program is intended for people who use chainsaws occasionally at the workplace or at home (as guides, at camps, or for cutting firewood).
